The primary aim of the Service is to assist individuals in the transition to independent living.
Providing safe, secure and supported accommodation.
Providing a programme of support suited to the person’s needs.
Assisting in the resettlement process.
The Housing Assistants’ will support workers and any other professionals and agencies involved in the provision of the support function to the residents.
They will ensure the security of the building, through personal observation, general awareness and routine checks.
They will ensure that minimum standards of health, safety and hygiene
are established and maintained in all communal areas, both internal and external to building. This includes regular cleaning duties and maintenance of grounds. They will also be required to maintain appropriate recording procedures for all issues relating to the operation of the service. This includes financial transactions, admin duties such as admissions and leavers’ data tasks assist with DWP/Housing benefit duties, incident reports and building repairs reporting.
They will also be involved with Service user participation regarding meetings, forums etc.
