Barnardo's Threads is an established service supporting young people and young parents 25 and under and their children across Renfrewshire. The service works in partnership with a number of agencies to provide holistic packages of support including:
- Housing and income maximisation
- Parenting support pre and post natal.
- Support to access health and specialist services
In addition the service has a number of specialist supports for young people affected by domestic abuse and substance misuse.
Support is tailored to meet the needs of young people and is provided through individual and group work interventions
The successful applicant should be motivated, driven and have experience of providing support through individual and group work interventions. Awareness of the impact of multiple adversities and the ability to work collaboratively with a number of partner agencies is essential.
SVQ3 Qualification is essential . This post is funded for 12 months - extension dependent on future funding.
